Doll clothes

I like that clothes of my russian dolls and roly-poly toys to be representations of real fabric. Many times I look for inspiration before to start to draw, in book: "Русские узорные ткани" (Printed russian fabrics 17th - 20th century).




This fabric is from 18th century. It was oil hand-printed in blue.



I represent in the girl with the cat, this piece of fabric from beginning 19th century. Oil hand-printed.




I use to make a sketch on paper before to draw on wood.
