A doll of story: making-of
Long time ago I had the idea to paint "En Patufet" in a russian doll, it is a Catalan story which deserves to be painted with traditional Catalan clothes, this is why we went to search for inspiration in Catalan History Museum. So once more, clothes painted in these dolls are representation of true clothes.

The russian doll legend
Dimitar Janakiew Inkiow (1932 - 2006) Bulgarian writer of children's stories, he left a legacy of over 100 books that have been translated into more than 25 languages. One of his works has drawn our attention: Matrioska, this is a legend about the origin of Russian dolls. The Chilean poet Ernesto Gonzalez Barnert has made an abridged version on his blog, which we like very much.
Here's a link.

A "doll of story"
There are many ways to tell a tale: with books, with draws, with puppets... so we show you "a doll of story", with this one you would be able to tell a tale to your children while they play.
A bull, a cabbage, a very little child... do you know it? This is the Catalan tale "En Patufet".
